“The Last Legacy of Human Being” is a contemplative installation that invites viewers to reflect on the essence of humanity‘s cultural and philosophical legacy. Situated in Room 216 of the Old Teachers’ College, the work spans 2 metres in length and 2 metres in height, incorporating artificial moss, flowers, foam, glass, and a holographic projector measuring 26 cm by 20 cm by 20 cm. At its heart, the holographic display projects a looping 1080p animation created in TouchDesigner, symbolizing the ongoing impact of human creativity.

Thematically, the installation imagines a post-human era, exploring the idea of a "last legacy" left behind before humanity’s extinction. What would remain if we, as a species, a civilisation vanished? The work poses essential questions about what defines our cultural essence and what truly matters in the face of impermanence. Technically, the piece embodies a synergy between digital and traditional mediums, reflecting the evolution of artistic practices in contemporary art. It responds to the growing trend of integrating technology into artistic practice, offering a way to explore big questions about humanity and its place in the world.

By combining handcrafted materials with dynamic digital visuals, The Last Legacy of Human Being creates a space for reflection on the relationship between humanity, time, and legacy.
